DOCUMENTS & CERT LETTERS
JayBox® is an ever-adaptable junction box, designed to securely enclose wires on nearly any solar project—with ample space to shelter up to 4 module strings.
The box is UL-listed, NEMA-3R-rated, and supports up to 1500-volt systems. It is made of a NORYL™ resin, known for its long-lasting UV-resistance and impact strength.
JayBox® is available in two options: Roof Mount and Rail Mount—so you can keep all of your solar wires nested and protected.
Two Mounting Types
JayBox® Roof Mount comes with deck screws and a flashing, while JayBox® Rail Mount comes with rail hangers. 6 screws, DIN rail, and a grounding bar are also included in each kit.
Trusted Waterproofing
JayBox® Roof Mount utilizes QuickMount’s Elevated Water Seal Technology® that has passed the TAS-100 wind-driven rain test.
Hassle-Free Lid
A detachable, hinged lid reduces interference—staying open and out of the way even on up to 70° roof slopes.
Durable NORYL™ Resin
JayBox® is fabricated from SABIC’s NORYL™ resin, giving it greater strength and resistance to UV radiation. It is well known for its performance in extreme environments.
Captive Hardware
Once the lid is closed, the single, pre-installed, captive screw and nut keeps it snug and secure.
Drilling Guides
The enclosure has easy-to-drill guides on three sides of the box as well as inside for directing conduit from the attic.
All IronRidge® Systems have been listed to UL 2703, the standard for evaluating solar mounting systems. This ensures they maintain strong electrical and mechanical connections over an extended period of time in extreme outdoor environments.
JayBox® comes with a 10-year warranty, guaranteeing it will be free of defects in materials and manufacturing which materially impair the use of the product for the purposes for which it was designed.

What is UL 2703A?
The QuickMount HUG™ and BUG™ attachments—that use our UltraGrip seal technology—are listed to UL 2703A, a new standard by UL for Flashing Devices and Systems for Rooftop-Mounted Photovoltaics. The BUG™ Conduit Mount is also listed to UL 2239 for supporting conduit.
The requirements of UL 2703A cover flashing materials, devices, and systems intended to provide resistance to water penetration to the interior of the building, in situations where photovoltaic rack mounting systems penetrate roof covering systems. These products are intended to be installed in accordance with either the International Building Code (IBC) or the International Residential Code (IRC), and the installation instructions.
These requirements do not address the ability of flashing materials, devices, and systems to withstand the structural wind forces of tornados, cyclones, or hurricanes. These requirements also do not cover: performance during exposure to fire, structural attachments for the rack mounting system, structural performance of roof attachments for above roof mounting of photovoltaic (PV) modules and panels, and the mechanical and structural requirements of the IBC or IRC.
